If most of your customers live or work nearby, local search is where the easy wins are. None of this is glamorous, but it works.
Claim and complete your business profile
The map listings that appear above normal search results come from free business profiles. Claim yours, then fill in everything: categories, hours, services, photos and a short description. Incomplete profiles rank lower.
Keep your details identical everywhere
Your business name, address and phone number should be written exactly the same on your website, your profile and any directories. Small differences confuse search engines about whether they’re looking at the same business.
Give each service and area its own page
One page that lists everything you do is hard to rank. A page per main service, and per area you serve if that’s relevant, gives search engines something specific to match each search to.
Ask for reviews, every time
Reviews influence both ranking and trust. Make asking part of your routine: a short message with a direct link after every job. Reply to every review, good or bad.
Make your site quick on phones
Local searches happen on phones, often on the move. A fast, readable mobile site with a tap-to-call button turns those searches into calls.
